The Historic Columbia Air Center Airport Museum Inc" 
on the site of the closed Columbia Air Center, the first Black owned and
operated licensed airport in the United States of America. 
The Columbia Air Center operated from February 22, 1941 - 1956.

The location of the airport will be on the original site of the deactivated general aviation airport known as the "Columbia Air Center" located in Croom, Maryland, which is currently a corn field owned by the Maryland - National Capital Park and Planning Commission and is part of the Patuxent River Watershed Park."

The goal is to build at no cost to the County, State, or Federal Government, a historically and educationally significant environmentally friendly state of the art 501(c)(3) general aviation airport known as the Historic Columbia Air Center Airport Museum Inc(hereafter referred to as the airport).
